Dankol SAS: a business model for producing sustainable lamps from in Bogotá.

Abstract

This article outlines the business plan for Dankol SAS, a Bogotá-based microenterprise that manufactures decorative lamps from recycled materials using energy-efficient LED technology. It covers problem definition (lack of affordable, efficient lighting and high volumes of solid waste), theoretical framework (circular economy, energy efficiency, innovation), methodology (survey of 200 households in socioeconomic strata 1–3), value proposition, organizational structure and production process. The article emphasizes the operational design, community partnerships and policy alignment that enable the project's scalability and replicability. Conclusions and recommendations focus on strengthening value chains and community linkages.
