Abstract

This article shows contemporary administrative trends as innovative strategies applied to organizations, especially Empowerment, which helps strengthen leadership and encourage the active participation of employees in the Occupational Health and Safety Risk Management System (SG-SST). From the review of the international standard ISO 45001:2018 and Decree 1072 of 2015, a related problem is identified regarding the low participation of human capital in the prevention and identification of occupational risks.

In this sense, this trend is proposed as a solution and strategy to enhance the active participation of employees and encourage a culture of self-care in all areas of the company. This contributes to having well-rounded leaders, provides more effective preventive actions, and improves internal communication.

Therefore, progress is verified in the SG-SST focused on leadership, the assignment of responsibilities, the motivation of employees’ active participation, and the use of different resources, integrating this administrative trend that allows continuous improvement of the entire organizational process, making companies more productive and strengthening the culture of prevention of risks, accidents, and occupational incidents.
