Colombia enjoys a strategic geographic position in Latin America, being the only South American country with access to both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. This advantage allows it to efficiently connect with markets in North America, Europe, and Asia. Furthermore, its proximity to the Panama Canal reinforces its role as a key logistics hub in the region, facilitating trade and economic integration.
Compared to Brazil, which only has access to the Atlantic, and Panama, whose economy depends primarily on the service sector, Colombia is emerging as a country with greater economic diversification and opportunities for expansion.
Thanks to this, Colombia is a key hub for trade, transportation, and security issues in the region.
