Abstract

This article presents the results obtained on the implementation of guidelines that were designed under the Corequisite Support methodology in a research carried out in Cáceres and Ortega (2022). The purpose of these guides was to explain weekly, according to the curriculum of the Precalculus I course of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, the previous conceptual weaknesses (what the student should know before undergoing the Precalculus I course) of the new students of the Precalculus I course. Thus, in this study, under the methodology of Corequisite Support, reinforcement guides were designed to try to remedy these weaknesses. This article presents the results obtained by seven professors of the Precalculus I course in the
second semester 2021 – 2022 when putting these previous reinforcement guides into practice.
