Abstract

Reflection about the importance of Manuel Zapata Olivella, one of the founding professors of the Bachelor of Arts Education with an emphasis on dance and theater, in the academic and cultural field of Africa, especially in Colombia, his country of origin. Recognizing his spirit as a free, mestizo, and universal man.

    Maestro artista en formación, miembro del semillero de investigación SIEMBRA, de la Universidad Antonio Nariño. Estudiante de último semestre, Licenciatura en Educación Artística con Énfasis en Danza y Teatro. Director de los grupos de danza de adulto mayor de D.T.L: Amigas de la Unidad y Añoranzas. Director artístico de la Fundación Artística y Cultural Son de mi Tierra. Investigador creador interprete de las obras: Casilda, grito de libertad; Chimila, corazón de guerrero y Tres bambucos, tres provincias.
