Abstract

Technological advances and the need for innovation bring with them the updating of processes in all areas of engineering, where projects and civil works are to be transformed into innovative designs that go beyond imagination, respecting the lives of human beings. But with this desire to grow in infrastructure, the management of waste that is the product of construction processes has been left behind, such as surplus material known as construction and demolition waste (C&D), which has been a constant that contributes negatively to the environment, due to its high levels of contamination, because there is no good disposal from the source. As has been identified in the literature review on the management of this waste in the national economy, reflecting different shortcomings from the application of current Colombian regulations, to the lack of social responsibility of all those involved, appearing in different environments: economic, environmental, social and cultural.
