Digital preservation
With the purpose of contributing to patrimony preservation and bibliographic control in Colombia, the journal makes the printed and digital legal deposit of all its numbers to the National Library of Colombia.
Copyright
Authors of manuscripts approved for publication must provide the journal with a publication license that allows the journal to circulate the contents digitally worldwide in different formats and in the specialized databases. Authors keep ownership of the rights to their manuscripts but grant a license to publish to the journal for the full term of legal protection and in all territories.
Self-archiving
Authors can save the diagrammed and approved final version of their papers on their personal websites, their institution’s repositories or any non-commercial repository for personal use, internal institutional use or for other users using a DOI (digital object identifier).
Privacy statement
Names and email addresses registered in PAPELES will be used for the stated purposes exclusively. They will not be provided to third parties or used for other purposes. (Statutory Law 1266 of 2008 and Law 1581 of 2012, protection of personal data).
Ethical considerations of published papers
In case of corrections or retractions, the authors of published papers may adhere to the following policies.
- Corrections: must be requested with the authors’ consensus and will be subject to the Editor-in-Chief’s approval according to their gravity and impact on the article’s scientific quality, which will be argued at the time of the request.
- Retractions: the Editor-in-Chief or the authors may withdraw an article for scientific quality reasons or an identified misconduct. PAPELES will keep the article online and publish a retraction banner mentioning the cause of the retraction.
Indexing, exposure, and distribution
PAPELES actively seeks its inclusion in indexing databases to increase the published articles’ visibility.
