Authorship and Contribution Policy
PAPELES follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and CrediT taxonomy to ensure responsible and transparent authorship. This guarantees that individuals credited as authors have made a substantial contribution to the work. To be recognized as an author, the following criteria must be met:
- Significant contribution to the design, development, analysis, or interpretation of the study’s data.
- Participation in the writing of the manuscript or critical review of its intellectual content.
- Final approval of the manuscript version to be submitted for publication.
- Commitment to the integrity of the work, ensuring that all aspects of the study have been adequately reviewed and taking responsibility for its content.
Individuals who have collaborated on the study but do not meet these criteria may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section.
Authorship Contributions
Upon manuscript submission, a detailed statement of each author's individual contributions must be included, covering areas such as research conceptualization and design, data collection and analysis, methodology, manuscript writing, and review.
Changes in Authorship
Any request for the addition, removal, or reordering of authors after manuscript submission must be approved by all authors and accompanied by a written justification. The journal will evaluate the request and may require additional documentation before accepting it.
Corresponding Author
A corresponding author must be designated, responsible for communication with the journal throughout the review and publication process, as well as for addressing any post-publication inquiries.
Acknowledgment of Contributors
Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet the authorship criteria (e.g., technical assistance, data analysis support, language editing) may be mentioned in the Acknowledgments section, with their consent.
