Revista Nodo maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against plagiarism and academic misconduct.
Definition & Scope
Plagiarism includes:
• Uncited use of one’s own or others’ work (text, tables, figures, or images).
• Text recycling ("self-plagiarism") without transparent acknowledgment.
Similarity Thresholds
• Standard articles: ≤30% similarity (with proper citation).
• Review articles: Higher similarity may be permitted, subject to editorial assessment of the work’s scholarly contribution.
Detection & Screening
• All submissions are screened via Turnitin before peer review.
• Cases exceeding thresholds undergo editorial evaluation to:
–Verify citation practices.
–Assess contextual originality.
Consequences
• Immediate rejection for uncorrected plagiarism.
• Retraction post-publication if violations are discovered.
• Sanctions: Authors may face submission bans (per COPE guidelines).
Why This Matters?

Authors must:
• Cite all sources verbatim (with quotation marks) or paraphrased (with in-text attribution).
