Submission guidelines for authors

  1. General Requirements
    • Originality: Submissions must be unpublishedand not under consideration elsewhere.
    • Language: Primarily in Spanish(submissions in English or Portuguese are also accepted).
    • Thematic Focus: Must align with the journal’s thematic axes.
  2. Formatting & Structure
    • File Format: Microsoft Word (.docxor .odt).
    • Length3,000–8,000 words(excluding references).
    • Bilingual Metadata: Title, abstract (150–250 words), and 5 keywords in Spanish and English.
    • References: APA 7th edition (in-text citations only; no uncited references).
  3. Visual & Multimedia Content
    • Images:
    –High resolution(200 DPI, min. 2000 pixels wide).
    –Formats: JPG, TIFF, PNG.
    –Include captions, credits, and permissions.
    Alternative Formats:
    Videos (MP4), audio (MP3), interactive media, or performative/digital experimentsare welcome.
    –For non-text submissions, provide a 500-word statement contextualizing the work.
  4. Flexible Academic Formats
    While traditional academic structures (introduction, methodology, results, conclusions) are accepted, we particularly encourage innovative formats that challenge conventional academic writing. This includes experimental texts, visual essays, performative works, and digital media submissions (such as MP3 audio, MP4 video, or interactive formats) that reflect creative research processes. We welcome textual and audiovisual essays that explore the impact of technology on artistic knowledge creation and communication.

    Critical-creative worksexploring technology’s role in artistic knowledge production.
    Expanded academic writing (e.g., nonlinear narratives, collaborative texts).
  5. Submission Process

    Uploadvia the online system, including:
    –Manuscript (anonymous for peer review).
    –Supplementary files (media, permissions).
    –Cover letter (thematic relevance statement).
  6. Ethical Compliance
    Plagiarism: Screened via Turnitin (<30% similarity, properly cited).
    Authorship: Follows ICMJE criteria.
    AI Disclosure: Required if used (see Ethics Code).
